Edna Neivert, Founder and President of Rise   Above Coaching, is excited to inspire others to rise above in life, make the most of their talent and potential, and enjoy the stunning view of themselves when they do.

Edna received her training from one of the leading coaching programs in the country, the Coaches Training Institute.  She has over 15 years of management experience in a broad range of roles for top-performing organizations, starting at The New Yorker Magazine and ending most recently at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she directed strategic communications and multi-million dollar fundraising campaigns.

Edna graduated magna cum laude from Yale University, earning the Saybrook College Master’s Award.  She also graduated from Carnegie Mellon’s Master of Arts Management Program with highest distinction.

Upon earning her Master degree, Edna worked in arts management, community development, and was Vice President at an independent research firm.

Edna is also a trained crisis intervention responder.  She has advanced facilitation and mediation skills, as well as over 500 hours of experience on a suicide prevention and crisis intervention hotline, where she trained volunteers, in addition to providing immediate emotional support to the thousands of callers she had the privilege of talking to on the phone.

When she’s not coaching, most likely she is playing the drums or sharing her love of music on her radio show broadcast by KZSU.
